We now start a trainee programme at The Royal Beach Camp in Nepal offering two trainee positions for young people age 18-25. The trainee programme will give you the opportunity to work with our team at RBC, to experience Nepali culture and the tourist industry and to train in our activities. To make the most out of the programme you also need to take responsibility for your own development and learning. At the same time you also get the unique opportunity to share your own knowledge in sports and develop your leadership skills when running our Childrens Activites Project.
As a trainee at the Royal Beach Camp you will be part of our camp- and guide team and work together with the team in all tasks performed at the camp. This includes everything from gardening and peeling potatoes to help as assistant guide on our trips and activities. You will have training in kayaking, rafting and / or canyoning. The traineeprogramme is not a guide course but you will have the chance to learn with the rest of team and free time can be spent practising your new skills.
The programme is very much depending on the individual and it is up to you to do the most out of the opportunities given. With a forward attitude, hard work and a will to learn you will gain more from the programme.
Also included in the programme is to work with the RBC Childrens Activities Project. Twice a week RBC run an open sports class for the children from the nearby village schools. The trainees will be responsible under guidance from senior guides and the RBC managment to plan and run these sports classes. Activities depend on the trainees own knowledge and interests and can vary from swimming and kayaking to teambuilding, volleyball, football or much more.
To participate in the trainee programme you need to be able to understand and make yourself understood in English. Participants need to have valid travel insurance covering adventure sports.
The traineeprogramme run during seasons. September-December and February-May. There is two places available at any given week. You can participate in the trainee programme for two, four, six or eight weeks.
